How did you get into Pink Floyd? The Wall is what started me off, probably around the age of 15 or 16. I had the double cassette.
What made you join DSOTM? I knew Josh from another project we worked on together, and he reached out to me, not sure if I was even into the music, asking if I had any interest in playing in a Pink Floyd tribute. I told him “when and where!?”
Favorite Pink Floyd song and why? Brain damage/eclipse. To me it’s the epitome of the Floyd sound
Favorite Pink Floyd album and why? Wish you were here, because of it being a tribute to Syd Barrett
What equipment do you use? I rotate three different drum kits, depending on the gig and my mood. One is a Pearl Masters kit, which used to be owned by a family friend who is no longer with us, and was a big Floyd fan, so it just seems fitting to use it. The other two kits are more centered on drums that Nick Mason used, one being a boutique brand from the 80s which I wrapped in silver sparkle Ala the Pompeii era kit , and the other being a clear acrylic Fibes kit similar to the one Nick used on stage in ‘72/‘73.
Brief Musical History: My parents were always involved in music; I grew up watching my dad play with his 50s/60s band “Hot Wax” and my mom was part of barbershop choruses/ quartets. There was always music happening, and there was always a drum set in the basement to mess around on
Best gig and why? Probably Mentor rocks ‘23. We had perfect weather, and a massive crowd
